This journal is published annually by the Library. The journal focuses on Islamic themes and topics related to the library collection as well as historical materials from the cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Annals have been published since 1972. Twenty-seven volumes have been published so far.

The Gazi Husrev-beg Library holds more than 10 000 codices of Islamic manuscripts in Arabic, Turkish, Persian and Bosnian languages. The first volume of the Catalogue  was published in 1963, the second in 1980 while the third volume appeared in 1991. Since 1998 (when the 4th volume was published), seventeen volumes of the Catalogue were published. Out of 10 000 manuscripts which exist in the Library, 9381 have been elaborated. The Foundation for Islamic Heritage al-Furqan (London) has been supporting this project since 1998.
